Northern Leaders Trust was established in 2014 and comprises two academies supported by our Central Services Team. Kenton School, our largest academy, has around 1,800 students, including a successful Sixth Form provision. With around 550 students, Studio West School focuses on delivering a studio school-type approach.
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our busy team with demonstratable experience in accounting functions and excellent working knowledge of accounting systems. Candidates must have or be studying towards AAT or equivalent or have comprehensive experience.
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the finance function with the timely processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, receipting of bank statements and raising customer invoices. You will assist the Head of Finance in preparing the monthly management accounts, which include accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals. You will also assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and produce monthly reports, for example, budget reports.
To be successful, you will possess strong IT skills, including Excel skills, the ability to work with lookups and pivot tables, and Microsoft Outlook skills. You must have meticulous attention to detail, budget management skills, and excellent analytical and interpretive ability.
