We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and innovative teacher, who has the relevant skills to teach Food and Food and Nutrition up to GCSE.
You will be joining our growing Food department and we hope you are ready to actively contribute to the future development of the subject. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences within the classroom and keen to contribute to wider aspects of school life.
Candidates are sought who can demonstrate a particular aptitude for:
- Communicating their subject knowledge and passion;
- Excellent relationships with pupils and
- Planning and delivering diverse schemes of learning.
Hours, Salary & Benefits:
Hours: This is a part time role for a 0.8 timetable.

The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualities:
Skills:
- Be an outstanding teacher, with exceptional subject and pedagogical knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Excellent planning, administration time management skills
- The ability to work to deadlines
Duties:
- Planning and preparing courses and lessons
- Teaching, according to their educational needs, the pupils in your classes, including the setting, marking and moderating of their work.
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
- Organising and participating in extra-curricular activities
- Contributing to the development of the department's offering

About Westonbirt School
Founded in 1928, Westonbirt School is a secondary school with a sixth form for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18. There are currently around 500 pupils enrolled at the school. It is situated on 210 acres of land in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. The school has a thriving boarding community. Pupil numbers have grown rapidly since the transition to full co-education in September 2019. A whole site development masterplan is in place which has seen significant investment in new teaching spaces, boarding accommodation, sports facilities and infrastructure.
