Food & Nutrition Technician - Job Share working alternate Weeks - Term-time Only

Are you passionate about Food and Nutrition and have skills as a technician to provide support to students and teaching staff in this job share role, working 1 week per fortnight, term-time only role with us. Each working week would be 33 hours and 45 minutes. For clarification of the working weeks, please see the appendix which you can download which maps out the working pattern - which would based upon working Week 1 at Technician B on the timetable.

We ideally wish to appoint an experienced Food and Nutrition Technician, or someone with the necessary background, skills and aptitude to pick up the role very quickly. As a school, we currently offer WJEC Hospitality and Catering at KS4, and our KS3 pupils have cooking on their timetable once every week throughout the year. 

Cooking is a very popular subject in our school and all our pupils engage very well in their cooking lessons. The Cooking department is a small, friendly, and enthusiastic team comprised of three full time teachers. There will be one term-time full-time technician and one term-time part-time technician (who you will job share with, working the term-time weeks that you do not - Week 2 on the timetable, identified as Technician A). Our cooking department is very well resourced with excellent facilities and a healthy department budget.

Stratford School Academy has been rebuilt and redeveloped through the Priority Schools Building Programme recently. We now have two new buildings, each for 750 students situated on separate sites but close to one another. The two sites operate as parallel ‘mini schools’ educating students from Year 7 to 11.
