Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an organised and well-motivated technician for 24 hpw term time
only (38 weeks per year). The hours are 08:50 to 15:20, over 4 days a week, non-working
day is Wednesday (timetable dependant each academic year).
The primary focus of the post is to support teaching and learning in the Hospitality &
Catering Department to ensure the smooth running of practical activities and create a safe
and productive environment for students to explore and learn. Duties will include: preparing
practical hospitality & catering lessons, preparing and checking orders for the department,
maintaining stock levels and providing practical assistance to both teachers and students
during practical activities and projects, please see the job description for a full list of tasks.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate; the ability to undertake a variety of
tasks, often at the same time, the ability to relate to both students and adults, and excellent
communication skills.
