Job overview
Living in Dubai
With year-round sunshine, a tax-free salary and endless career development opportunities, Dubai is fast becoming one of the major players in the international teaching market. Whether you enjoy spending your weekends dune bashing and cycling the desert tracks, or indulging in some retail therapy before a dip in the sea, Dubai has it all. Its a great place to develop yourself professionally, while enjoying an enriching life outside of the workplace. At Taaleem we are proud and privileged to operate some of the leading schools in the UAE, led by outstanding teachers from all over the world. Our schools are located across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, catering to the British, IB and American curricula, so we always look for a diverse and inspiring teaching body who are looking to help educate and develop the future generations.
Dubai British School
Dubai British School is a thriving British international school, located in The Springs area of Dubai's Emirates Hills. A Taaleem school, DBS offers high quality education to over a thousand students aged 3 to 18. Dubai British School is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and is rated 'Very Good' by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB)
Since opening our doors in 2005, DBS has established itself as one of the leading British schools in the region, offering a broad and balanced education to children from all around the world. We are a unique school that places the wellbeing of our students and the interests of our community at the heart of everything we do. It is our goal that every DBS student is given the tools to make a positive difference during their time with us to their own life and to others lives.
Our mission of 'Enjoy, Aspire, Achieve' perfectly captures the ethos of this great school, where students thrive in a nurturing yet challenging environment – able to achieve the best possible educational outcomes and to flourish as individuals during the experience. We celebrate this individuality in all that we do, praising a musical solo as warmly as we do an A* grade and promoting a wonderful piece of artwork or sporting brilliance as much as we do an entrance into Cambridge university.
It is this warmth of spirit that sets DBS apart, where every student, every member of staff and every parent can find their place in the sun. Schools are often talked about as being happy places, but DBS is made up of happy people, happy to be respected, valued, and appreciated, given every opportunity to succeed in a way that is meaningful to them.
Our Curriculum
The curriculum at DBS is modelled on the National Curriculum for England, significantly enhanced by 'Wow Learning', the study of Arabic throughout and a challenging set of GCSE and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. The opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied extra-curricular activities programme (ECA).
Who are we?
