Aldar Education is currently in search of an exceptional school leader to serve as the Founding Principal at Cranleigh - Bahrain. This exciting position will commence in January 2024, aligning with the school's opening for the Academic Year 2024/2025.

As the Founding Principal, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the foundations for Cranleigh - Bahrain's success, guiding the school's growth from its inception through to Year 13.

Strategically situated the school offers easy accessibility to students and families residing in Bahrain and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The campus is a cutting-edge facility spanning across 23,000 square meters of land with a gross floor area of 37,000 square meters. It encompasses contemporary classrooms, sports facilities, performing arts spaces, and state-of-the-art science and IT laboratories equipped with robotics and aviation technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic, operational, and financial responsibility for the school
  • Strategic direction and leadership of school improvement
  • Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for the staff, students, and the wider community
  • To develop a school improvement plan founded in a secure understanding of data and classroom observation
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school and the quality of teaching and learning
  • Continue to maintain an environment that promotes and secures outstanding teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain effective links with the community including business and industry, to extend the curriculum and enhance teaching and learning
  • Improve the existing system for the management of staff performance, incorporating target setting and individual development plans
  • Continue to develop an organisation in which all staff feel valued and recognise that they are accountable for the success of the school

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA in Education or BA Degree with relevant teaching qualification is essential
  • Master’s in Education or Education Leadership or NPQH or similar professional qualification. 


Minimum Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in education
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership position
  • Experience delivering the British National Curriculum to international students

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong and consistent supervisory skills.

  • Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical workday, where the tasks require additional commitment.
  • Championing sustainability for a safer, greener, ethical environment
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
