French Teaching Assistant - Dubai

Masterminds, Dubai’s leading early learning center, is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support French language instruction for its students. We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and open-minded to learning a new curriculum and pedagogy. Some experience working with young children (early years or lower primary) would be preferred.

Essential Requirements  

• Spoken and Written fluency in French and English. 
• Some experience working with young children (early years or lower primary) preferred    
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational qualification    
• Open mindedness to learning and implementing Masterminds’ pioneering teaching methodologies and approaches    
• Flexibility to move across age groups (Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten I and II)    
• Persona should reflect the premium nature of the Masterminds brand    
• Exceptional relationship and communication skills    
• Essential to relate well to both children and adults and have strong communication and listening skills    
• Team working, flexibility and adaptability with sensitivity to the needs of children are critical to the requirement of this role    
• Highly organized

Core Responsibilities  

• Supporting teachers with planning daily activities in the classroom  
• Support French language instruction in small groups 
• Assisting with preparation of materials, equipment and any other resources required for daily and weekly use   
• Assisting with cleaning and tidying of materials and classroom at the end of the day   
• Assisting with learning activities which require small group organisation   
• Supporting group work in sports, art and science activities   
• Supervising and accompanying students around the Centre to specialist lessons,  school clinic and other activities, ensuring child safety at all times   
• Supervising and supporting students in the event of an emergency   
• Assisting with students during excursions outside the Centre   
• Assisting and supporting with late club and after school activities   
• Assisting in a designated classroom in order to support any team member’s absence   
• Participate in the annual professional development cycle and demonstrate continuous commitment as a life-long learner   
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to all Centre matters at all times.
