About us
Doha College is one of the world’s leading British International Schools. Proudly not-for-profit, we have been named as one of the top hundred private schools in the world in both the prestigious Spear’s School Index and the Carfax Index and are Qatar’s sole entry in both lists. Our examination results at (I)GCSE and A-Level are amongst the best of any school of our type globally.
Our commitment to supporting your career is matched by our dedication to your well-being, with an innovative instructional coaching approach designed to ensure all teachers, however experienced, continue to learn, and are helped to become the very best they can be. We also have a comprehensive induction and orientation programme, which allows new staff to effectively navigate the challenges that come with an international move. Our free on-site crèche for primary-aged children ensures that working parents are supported and staff representation on our Board of Governors helps to shape the future strategic direction of the school.
Best of all, our vibrant international student community is a delight to work with and our innovative approach encourages everyone at the College to bring with them ideas and a willingness to try new things.
If you are interested in joining our inspiring team which values your personal and professional growth - and you will bring a commitment to the highest standards, positivity, kindness and warmth - we very much look forward to receiving your application.
The opportunity
We are now looking to appoint a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Front Office team at Doha College.
We are a multi-cultural organisation that embraces diversity and provides a friendly and informal work environment.
This is a non-sponsored position (does not provide sponsorship-related benefits and allowances), and only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered. The position will be based at our Al Wajba Campus.
About you
The successful candidate will be working in a friendly and supportive team and will be responsible for providing Front Office related services to Doha College and all stakeholders. Some experience of working in a similar role is highly desirable, but candidates with administrative experience and a highly professional attitude will also be considered.
We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English; therefore, a high standard of written and spoken English is essential for all positions.
The Offer
This is a non-sponsored hire so there are no remuneration benefits in addition to salary other than a very modest transportation allowance. What the offer provides is fair remuneration with the potential for significant increase through time, an especially warm and supportive community, great professional freedom, and an unparalleled work-life balance.
Salary: QR8,266/month on appointment, in addition to a QR150/month transportation allowance.
Standard working hours: Minimum 37.5hours per week (7am to 2.30pm)
Annual leave: 48 working days in total (30 days of annual leave plus 18 days for Qatari and British Public Holidays) rising to 53 working days after 5 years of continuous service.
School holiday working: There are 180 days of curricular-delivered content for pupils on dates approved by the Ministry of Education. Out of term-time, working is at a much more relaxed pace and the hours are reduced to 8am to 1pm.
Please note: This is a non-sponsored position and only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered.
The above is provided so that you can consider if this position would be right for you were you to be selected. It is a really open and transparent way that we can manage expectations, so we are fair to all and done with comfort as we feel the offering is both fair and strong when considered holistically. As such, this is not an opening position or one that would be subject to negotiation.
Please note: Due to government requirements, we can only consider applicants who are above 18 years old.
