We are seeking a well-qualified, inspiring teacher to join our PE teaching team for a one-year maternity cover, starting in January 2025.
You will be an outstanding graduate teacher with excellent subject knowledge, capable of delivering PE to GCSE level, and with experience delivering the Level 3 BTEC National in Sport.
In addition to excellent teaching skills, you should be passionate about coaching in one or more of our core sports (football, netball, hockey, cricket) and committed to supporting teams and individuals to succeed at all levels. You will join a team of talented and professional staff who share a passion for helping students compete and achieve their potential at the highest level.
Sport and physical education are integral to Royal Russell School. You will be part of a large department of 31 staff, led by our dynamic new Director of Sport, Health, and Fitness. The department's vision is to:

Royal Russell is an HMC/IAPS co-educational school with over 1500 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in South London, with a Junior School, Senior School and 200 pupil boarding community.
