Location: The Cornerstone Academy, Poole, Dorset
Salary: £23,300, pro rata salary per annum (Full Time Equivalent £27,430 per annum)
Term Time plus 1 week – 38 school weeks plus training days and 1 week flexible working
36 hours per week (approx. 8.15- 4pm Monday – Thursday and Friday 8.15 - 3.45pm)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Gateway Support Worker.
The role
The Gateway Support Worker supports the provision of a specialist SEN support resource base. This provision supports up to 10 young people who are autistic and/or have social emotional, mental health needs which impact their ability to successfully access a mainstream setting.
This support allows the young people to prepare and integrate into mainstream education. This is through bespoke and personalised student plans for them to participate and actively engage in their own learning.
About You:
· You will provide a stimulating and well-structured learning environment suitable for students with SEMH/ ASC
· You will make accurate and productive use of assessment to promote good progress
· You will play a full and active role in the development of the school including individual and whole school improvement
· Be flexible and have excellent proven team working skills
· Be committed to your own CPD
· Have excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office
