Al Maharat Private School is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic GCSE English Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in the GCSE English curriculum, fostering a stimulating and supportive environment for student learning and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the GCSE English curriculum. Inspire students to develop strong literacy and communication skills.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and their guardians.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment, employing effective classroom management techniques.
  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues to develop the English curriculum and share teaching strategies. Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and professional development initiatives.
  • Student Development: Support each student’s individual learning needs, helping them build confidence and skills in English. Provide resources and guidance to aid students' academic and personal growth.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with teaching trends, GCSE curriculum changes, and best practices in English education. Engage actively in professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar teaching role with a solid understanding of the GCSE English curriculum.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature, with effective teaching strategies for secondary education.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning and engagement.

Additional Requirements:

  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English; native or near-native level preferred.
