About The Role

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Hours: Casual Contract (this role could require candidates to work an additional 4 weeks outside of term-time)

Join our team as a Kitchen Assistant, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen.

In this diverse role, you’ll ensure all areas are clean and organised, prepare and pack meals according to kitchen requirements, and assist with the service and set-up for staff and guests.

You will work closely with the Chef to provide balanced and healthy meals to our students, you’ll contribute to delivering a high-quality dining experience while upholding standards of hygiene, safety, and food preparation.

You’ll also handle deliveries, manage stock rotation, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols. If you’re a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we’d love to have you on board!

What will you do?

  • To prepare all types of food in line with kitchen requirements or to pack meals as needed
  • To assist in all aspects of the day-to-day duties in the kitchen and Front of House, ensuring that the required catering service is successfully delivered daily basis. This includes working as an effective team member.
  • To liaise and co-operate with the Chef manager and the Front of house manager, to follow and respect their request and orders.
  • Preparation of meals and or packing, observing all Quality, Hygiene and Food Safety requirements
