For the last 300 years, Rishworth School has occupied magnificent buildings in 140 acres of Yorkshire countryside in the Ryburn Valley.
We are seeking to appoint a full time suitably qualified, dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our team from April 2024. The ability to teach Geography to A Level is essential, this position is suitable for an NQT. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who will have vision and energy and who will be an innovative thinker passionate about teaching and committed to the enrichment of the students’ learning experience. The ability to teach an additional subject will be helpful. Potential additional roles available such as Subject Lead etc and can be discussed at interview.
Energy, commitment and a willingness to take a full and active part in the broader life of this busy Boarding school are essential. The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to the enrichment and extension of the students’ learning experience and supporting children who have specific learning needs.

About Rishworth School
Rishworth School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent day and boarding school situated in Rishworth, West Yorkshire. The school has a Christian ethos but welcomes students from all faiths. There are approximately 450 pupils at Rishworth, between the ages of 3-19.
Rishworth School was established in 1724 by John Wheelwright in a small building, now used as the school’s chapel. The junior school, Heathfield opened in 1951. The school is set around 130 acres of parkland. It is a founder member of the Society of Headmasters for Independent Schools (SHMIS). Rishworth and Heathfield both offer an extensive range of learning facilities and share a swimming pool, performing arts centre and playing fields.
