If you have a passion for theatre production, enjoying elements such as set builds, lighting and sound design, and are keen to experience life, working at a busy co-education boarding school, then becoming a Graduate Assistant at Marlborough College could be for you.

The Graduate Assistant - Theatre Production, provides essential support to the production of a diverse range of theatre projects across our three performance spaces. This post will appeal to those who seek to share their designing skills with young people, whilst working as part of a team in a stimulating and well-equipped environment

The nature of our production team requires a Graduate who can offer a wide range of skills; whilst we would not expect all these areas of expertise, we would be interested to hear from candidates who could offer support in one or more of these areas.

  • Lighting Design
  • AV Design and support
  • Programming (ETC Ion)
  • IT skills (Microsoft and Apple)
  • Set Design and construction (assistance where required)
  • Sound Design
  • Advanced/experienced in QLab programming and operation (AV)

A recent graduate (or recognised alternative) with a specialism directly relevant to lighting design/program development, you will be energetic, enthusiastic, have a natural rapport with young people as well as a genuine interest in, and commitment to, their care and development.

Joining us for an academic year (starting January 2025) you will be immersed in the life of a busy boarding school with a salary package that includes accommodation and all meals during term-time, but more importantly offers a fantastic opportunity and fulfilling experience.
