Job overview
We wish to appoint from January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, a highly motivated, talented, dynamic and innovative Physical Education Assistant to join our very successful department. This role would particularly suit a new graduate or school leaver with an interest in sport, or someone considering pursuing a career in teaching. The role will be a full-time position, starting in January 2025.
The role will involve supporting the work of the department through accompanying off-site lessons, clubs and fixtures, and providing appropriate administrative and logistical support. Depending on the candidate, there may be the opportunity to take part in some teaching and/or coaching.
Applicants should be keen to work as part of a team, and to be fully involved in all that the department offers. Enthusiasm for working with children and young people is essential. Applications from candidates with an interest or expertise in Netball, Swimming and Rowing are particularly welcomed.
An application form and further details may be downloaded from our website www.queensgate.org.uk. When completed the application form should be sent by email together with a covering letter to the Principal to recruitment@queensgate.org.uk to arrive no later than Thursday, 19 December 2024.
Queen’s Gate is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including appropriate social media checks, checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and have references taken up with previous employers, including the most recent. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
