Spaghetti Bridge is an independent group of specialist schools. We are passionate about providing young people who experience barriers to learning with a dynamic and outcome focused education.

Due to the continued growth and development of our group we are looking for a Group Admissions and Transitions Lead to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative and expanding group with excellent opportunities for professional development.

Location: This is a remote role. We have schools across the South West from Plymouth to Gloucester and are expanding beyond this area. Regular visits to our schools will be required, overnight stays may be required from time to time. Expenses are paid for travel.

The Group Admissions and Transition Lead will provide oversight and management of our student admissions process, ensuring smooth transitions into, within and out of our schools, and following up on our student's destinations.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Group oversight of admissions & transitions processes; to ensure that practices are effective, consistent and efficient for all stakeholders
  • Collect and analyse data related to admissions, transitions and student outcome to identify trends and areas for development
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to school leaders around EHCP’s and the development of appropriate and sustainable cohorts
  • Support the opening of new services and support the consultation process and liaise with Local Authorities on the opening of the school and placement confirmed
  • Work in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the development of further provision and consider potential impact of referral patterns/emerging needs with regard to existing provision
  • To support, provide guidance and expert intervention where required into the annual review process
  • To ensure that all processes meet statutory and company requirements


Applicants must have in depth knowledge of and experience within the education sector and specifically SEND provision, including statutory requirements. They must have in depth understanding of young people with complex needs and how these can be best met.
