An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive ALS specialist to join the College as Head of Additional Learning Support and Inclusion. They will lead and manage the Learning Support team to ensure high quality additional learning support and inclusive learning leading to wide participation and excellent achievement. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on the Additional Learning Support funding and the portion of the Adult Educational Budget funding that pertains to additional learning support and ensuring that the College meets all related targets successfully. You be the main point of contact for the College with external agencies regarding aspects of the provision, including negotiating with boroughs regarding EHCP learners.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent professional qualification. You will be skilled and experienced in managing funding, budgets and meeting financial targets. You will have significant knowledge of the frameworks, code of practice and processes that pertain to ALS, High Needs’ learners and learners with SEND. You will have the skills to ensure the College meets the needs of the learners well and that the support is innovative and responsive to emerging trends and needs. You will also have good interpersonal skills and experience of using information systems and databases. You must be committed to equality and diversity, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our learners and have a flexible attitude to work.
