Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Head of Biology to join our supportive, enthusiastic and collaborative team from 1 September 2019. Applications are welcomed from teachers of Science who have experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4, who are ready to take this next step into middle leadership. Experience of teaching Science at KS5 would also be welcomed.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to raising standards are essential.
The successful candidate would be joining the school at an exciting time. Hampton High has recently been judged “good” by Ofsted and is an oversubscribed school for September 2019, with numbers increasing throughout the school on a weekly basis. We are committed to the progress of all learners and have a comprehensive programme of professional development for all staff. All visitors to our school comment on the high standards of behaviour, high levels of student engagement in lessons and the warmth and pride with which students talk about their school. We would encourage a visit to the school so that you are able to see this for yourself, prior to making an application.
Hampton High is a mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school. In 2017 Hampton High joined the Richmond West Schools Trust. The trust operates collaboratively with a group of local schools which are working in partnership to improve outcomes for learners locally. This has brought investment of time and resources to further support the improvement of the school.
