Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11-18 comprehensive school where all students consistently achieve highly. Overall progress and attainment have been well above Essex and national averages for the last 8 years, consistently placing us in the top 16% of all schools nationally. ‘The mutual respect shown between pupils and staff ensures that learning takes place in a cordial environment. We are looking for an experienced, ambitious business studies and/or economics specialist to lead our highly successful Business Studies, Economics and Computing Faculty. Our Heads of Faculty are pivotal to the continued success of the school and are regarded as senior leaders. The faculty’s objective is to prepare students for the ever-changing world of work by delivering high quality teaching and learning and implementing initiatives, all aimed at raising standards and expanding opportunities for all. In line with the school’s ethos the faculty is staffed solely by subject specialists.   

The successful candidate will also act as the Subject Leader for Business Studies and Economics and teach Business Studies and/or Economics up to and including A level. Take up for both subjects at G.C.S.E. and A level is high. The faculty also offers BTEC Business at Levels 2 and 3. The role represents a fantastic platform for further promotion to Assistant Headteacher and beyond.
