Job overview
We welcome students of all abilities and from all backgrounds. We are an Academy in the heart of the community and so we take the time to get to know and understand each student, supporting them to do their very best. We want to continue to appoint staff who are passionate about education and who want to make a difference for the students in our care. We want to appoint a Head of Careers & Aspirations who shares this passion.
As Head of Careers & Aspirations you will be leading a team of professionals to work with our students to continue to raise aspirations. You will ideally possess a Level 6 qualification in Careers Leadership, however, the Academy will fund training for the successful candidate.
The Bourne Academy has received National recognition for the commitment it has towards careers education. The Academy was the first school to successfully meet the full Gatsby Benchmarks. We are also the Lead School in BCP for Careers Education and have held the Quality in Careers standard (previously Investors in careers) for several years.
The role is term time plus one week and 25 hours per week.(hours negotiable)
