JOB DETAILS:
The Careers and University Guidance team at Kuwait English School offers specialist guidance and support to our students and their parents, on options choices for IGCSE and IA levels, as well as university pathways and applications.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Heads of Year 11 and years 12 and 13 to arrange and lead careers events, and will be able to identify interests and passions when selecting subject options that target careers and future study programmes. The team is focused on supporting all our students in finding their 'best fit', personalised pathway. The successful applicant is likely to have held a similar role elsewhere, and be a well-organised self-starter, with a sound working knowledge of the university application requirements and processes for the UK, USA, Australia, Middle East and Europe. The ability to teach another subject up to KS4 would be advantageous. The role will also involve supporting relevant students in preparing and registering for university admissions tests including, but not limited to, PSAT, SAT, ACT and UK university admissions tests, such as the BMAT and MAT.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree.
- PGCE or equivalent
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred.
- 3 years of teaching experience / in the designated role.
- Experienced with the British curriculum

About Kuwait English School
Kuwait English School was established in 1978 and is the learning home of a very special community of 2500 students (ages 3 – 19 years), parents, educationalists, administrators and management. We all share the common aim, to ensure that each student in our care accesses the most valuable, fulfilling and enjoyable learning experiences at each stage of his/her school life.
