Langdon College is part of Kisharon Langdon and is a registered Charity. The College provides education and support primarily for Jewish students who have a variety of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, with almost half of students having autistic spectrum disorder.

Central to Kisharon Langdon’s mission is an unwavering commitment to the interests of people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as their families. The organisation remains dedicated to meeting their unique religious and cultural needs, and we are proud of the inclusive environment which we foster. The importance of empowering those we support to realise their ambitions and aspirations remains a core value.

Langdon College currently delivers four different curriculum pathways in support of 35 students funded through their respective local authorities. Our curriculum offer is wide-ranging, and our students have access to excellent learning opportunities across our three campuses. Teaching takes place in small groups, and teaching methods are always differentiated to meet the needs of every learner.

About the role.

This is an exciting time to join Langdon College (Ofsted, Requires Improvement, 2021) as we seek to deliver on our ambitious plans for the future. As the Head of Langdon College, London, you will join the Education Partnerships directorate of Kisharon Langdon, led by our Director of Education, Dr Emily Haddock. Langdon College currently has three campuses – our London campus as well as two Manchester campuses. As such, you would therefore work closely with the Head of Langdon College (Manchester) as well as with the Director of Education. This Directorate also includes Tuffkid Nursery (Ofsted Outstanding) and Kisharon School (Ofsted Good).

As our Head of Langdon College, London, you will lead improvements in the quality of our education and the development of a robust and impactful curriculum offer. Not only this, you will lead the College in building new and influential relationships with stakeholders, support the development of our estate and continue to model an organisational culture that ensures our staff, learners and their families continue to feel supported and valued.

As an experienced FE sector leader, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the College whilst using your understanding and knowledge of SEND provision to lead a team of dedicated and passionate staff – curriculum leads, teachers and therapists – to deliver the best possible outcomes for our learners, whilst ensuring that we continue to embed our Jewish ethos across the whole organisation.

Benefits.

·      The working week concludes at lunchtime on Fridays.

·      Staff are entitled to additional leave on all Jewish festivals – 7 additional days of leave in 2025.

·      Access to health & wellbeing support.

·      External professional coaching funded.

·      Strong training & development programme.
