Role Summary

The Head of College at Pinc London is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, academic excellence, and overall management of the college. This position requires an individual who is passionate about education and committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for both students and staff. The Head of College will work collaboratively with the Cultural Sector, parents, and the wider community to ensure that the college meets its educational goals and upholds its values.

Initially based at The Design Museum, Kensington

An Independent Specialist College

9am to 5pm- term time plus 3 weeks (41weeks)

Actual salary- £45000 per annum.

Requirements for the Role:

To project manage the opening and running of the first and then subsequent Pinc London campuses providing specialist education for neurodiverse students (16-24 year olds). To provide effective leadership of the campuses promoting the Pinc methodology and values to enhance the student experience. To act as team lead for the whole campus.

Lead in creating and nurturing partnerships for learning and growth in the sector

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Develop and implement academic programmes that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging professional development for staff.
  • Oversee the management of college resources, ensuring effective allocation and utilisation.
  • Engage with parents, students, and the community to promote a positive image of the college.
  • Monitor student performance and implement strategies to support academic achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards.
  • Lead initiatives that promote inclusivity, diversity, and wellbeing within the college community.

Requirements

  • A strong background in education with proven experience in a leadership role within a setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with a focus on strategic planning and implementation.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students alike towards achieving their best potential.
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and practices is advantageous.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in education or a related field is preferred.

  • FE experience/knowledge is beneficial
  • Experienced in safeguarding and dealing with safeguarding and following up any safeguarding issues or concerns when necessary and sharing appropriate information with external agencies involved in supporting the needs of the young person
