If you are an aspiring senior leader, with the vision to drive the strategic direction and development of the academy’s pupil attainment and achievement, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the further development of Marsden Heights. The successful candidate must be passionate about improving pupils’ life chances through the provision of the highest quality of education and committed to achieving excellent results for the pupils. You must have a strong work ethic, be a good to outstanding teacher and have high expectations of yourself and others, with the ability to lead staff and pupils in realising those expectations.
A successful applicant will have three areas of responsibility:
- Leading the English department ensuring excellent outcomes for all pupils.
- An area of school wide responsibility that aligns with the areas of both interests and strengths of the applicant and the needs of the school.
- The general responsibilities associated with a senior leader’s position in our academy
With regards to the second point, we would work with the successful candidate to ensure there is a meaningful area of school that you will take the lead on. This could be in Teaching & Learning, Curriculum & Assessment, Personal Development or Pastoral.
