Northstowe Secondary College is a brand-new secondary school at the heart of the Northstowe Education Campus. In our modern building with state-of-the-art facilities including science, catering and hospitality, the arts, sports and leisure, we are building a fantastic reputation in the local community. The Northstowe Learning Community currently includes Martin Bacon Academy which is a special educational needs school and will in time include a primary school and a sixth-form college on the same campus.
In September 2023, we will have students across the age range for the first time, with approximately 600 students in Years 7-11.
Now, with around 60 staff, it is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on the journey to provide world class education to the developing community. You will be part of an experienced and growing team that is creating an inclusive, innovative and aspirational learning environment for the young people and families it serves.
This position is equally suitable for those wishing to take a step up to middle management or someone with previous experience as a Head of Department.

Our School
Northstowe Secondary College is a brand-new 11-19 secondary school at the heart of the Northstowe Education Campus, that opened to Year 7s in September 2019. It is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on the journey to provide world class education to the developing community. You will be part of an experienced team that is creating an inclusive, innovative and aspirational learning environment for the young people and families it serves.
The College will become the cornerstone of the Northstowe Learning Community, which will in time include a primary school, a sixth-form college and a special school - The Martin Bacon Academy which opened Summer 2020. Northstowe is a new town development which benefits from great travel links to Cambridge and the A1. We are a fast, up and coming area which will be host to lots of new families and a brand new community.
As a new build school, and a new build area, we also benefit from state-of-the-art facilities for science, catering and hospitality, the arts, sports and leisure, forming a comprehensive offer for our students and also our local community.
