Exeter College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic academic leader to join the College’s Leadership Team as Head of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences.

The College is the 8th largest sixth-form provider in England and its academic curriculum offer attracts learners from across the South West. If you have a passion for outstanding A-Level delivery and the skills to work with and lead an amazing teaching team, that works with truly fantastic learners, this could be the role for you. The faculty is also the home faculty for our International Baccalaureate students. The faculty delivers a portfolio of 15 different A-Levels and is currently rated as outstanding, with outstanding achievement rates, value added scores and progression.

The faculty is highly ambitious for its learners with the majority progressing to university. The faculty consistently supports learners to secure places at Oxford and Cambridge as well as Russell Group universities. The Head of Faculty is supported by two Deputy Heads of Faculty and five Curriculum Area Managers to manage the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning. They are also supported by a Tutorial Area Manager to ensure the pastoral needs of our learners are met at the highest level. 

The College is about to start work on an amazing new building for the faculty which will open in September 2025, enhancing the experience for the learners and staff in the faculty.
