Job overview
Wandle Learning Trust was founded in 2018 and is now a family of five schools. Unique to our Trust is the strong collaboration with Wandle Learning Partnership, which is home to our Teaching School Hub, English Hub and Maths Hub and our not-for-profit phonics programme, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. Our aim is to ensure that as a result of attending an academy in the Trust, every young person will be inspired and empowered by their education; inspired to build a purposeful and fulfilling life and empowered to make a valuable contribution to the world around them.
Our Trust Development Plan describes our aspirations for growth by increasing the number of academies within our Trust. To support and enable the Trust’s growth plans, we need to appoint a Head of Finance.
The successful candidate will be experienced in operating at a senior level, working with the Chief Finance and Operations Officer to develop and maintain a robust financial framework to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and best practice throughout the Trust.
The Head of Finance will lead the Trust’s Finance team to ensure high standards, effectiveness and efficiency in all of their operations. A strong leader, you will be skilled in achieving team objectives, boosting morale and developing staff to reach their full potential. You will need a flexible approach to your duties, dividing your time between strategic and operational issues based on the needs of the Trust.
If you could thrive in this role, we would welcome your completed application.
The closing date for applications is Friday 11th October at 12 noon.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, interested candidates are advised to submit their applications as early as possible.
Interviews will take place during w/c Monday 14th October 2024.

About Wandle Learning Trust
Wandle Learning Trust was founded in 2018 by Mark Siswick and Christian Kingsley, the leaders of Chesterton Primary School and Chestnut Grove Academy in Wandsworth. We are now a family of five schools comprising our founder schools plus three further primaries, Ravenstone Primary School, Paxton Academy and Thomson House School.
Unique to our Trust is the strong collaboration with Wandle Learning Partnership, which is home to our Teaching School, English and Maths Hubs and sector leading phonics programme, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. Collectively we are united in the belief that there is no more important role than making a positive difference to children’s lives.
Our aim is to ensure that as a result of attending an academy in the Trust, every young person will be inspired and empowered by their education. Inspired to build a purposeful and fulfilling life and empowered to make a valuable contribution to the world around them.
As a Trust we believe in Educating for life, ensuring that our children are prepared for the next stage of their education, employment or training. Each academy will aim to achieve an outstanding judgement from OFSTED at the earliest appropriate point and be contributing to delivering world-class education within the Trust.
