Salary: Competitive, tax-free

About Us:

Buckswood School Riyadh is a prestigious institution committed to excellence in education and sports. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Football to lead our Football Academy from inception in September 2024. This individual will play a key role in shaping the future of our young athletes, working in collaboration with a Premier League club and their youth development program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Program Development: Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive football program for primary and secondary students that runs before, during and after school – after school programs will be for a wider range of children from the community, not just those enrolled at the school. Ensure the curriculum is age-appropriate, progressive, and aligned with best practices in youth football development.

- Coaching: Provide high-quality coaching to students, focusing on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning. Lead training sessions, match preparations, and manage team selections.

- Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and mentor students, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and excellence in football. Provide guidance and support to assistant coaches and staff.

- Partnership Management: Collaborate with an as yet to be confirmed premier league club to integrate their youth development programme into the academy. Ensure effective communication and alignment with the club’s standards and expectations.

- Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community. Communicate effectively about the academy’s goals, progress, and student achievements. Organize events, meetings, and workshops to engage and inform stakeholders.

- Administration: Manage the administrative aspects of the football academy, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with school policies and relevant regulations.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in football coaching and youth development. Participate in professional development opportunities and bring innovative ideas to enhance the academy’s offerings.

Qualifications:

- UEFA Coaching License: Must hold a valid UEFA coaching license.

- Experience: Proven experience in coaching and leading football programmes for children and young adults. Experience in developing and managing football programmes for primary and secondary aged children is essential.

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team. Self-motivated and able to work independently.

- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with children, parents, and staff. Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

- Cultural Adaptability: Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and adapt to the local culture and environment.

What We Offer:

- Competitive Salary: Attractive, tax-free salary package.

- Professional Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

- Supportive Environment: Work within a supportive and collaborative school community.

- Premier League Collaboration: Unique opportunity to work with a top-tier football club’s youth development programme.

Application Process:

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV, a cover letter detailing their coaching philosophy and relevant experience, and any other supporting documents. Applications should be sent to tdemetradze@buckswood.co.uk before August 15.

Buckswood School Riyadh is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to background checks and must hold an up-to-date DBS certificate or equivalent.
