A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Humanities. We are looking to appoint a Head of Humanities who is committed to supporting student enjoyment and progress in our History and Geography Departments. We are looking for an ambitious, inspirational, enthusiastic, experienced Head of Department with proven track record of increasing outcomes in either History or Geography, who is passionate about Humanities.

About Harper Green School
Harper Green School is a co-educational comprehensive located in Bolton. It was first established in 1927, and we are looking forward to the upcoming centennial celebrations. Our school has approximately 1250 students aged 11-16, making it noticeably larger than the average secondary school. The school site has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation since its founding, and boasts a range of modern teaching facilities. The most recent of these being our B block – which houses a state of the art Dance studio, Drama studio, 3 modern classrooms and Humanities and Learning Hub department areas.
I am proud to be Headteacher of a school which truly serves its local community. We are a values driven school and there is a moral purpose to working at Harper Green, where we strive to transform the lives of our young people.
