Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated teacher to positively impact upon our youngsters and further improve this successful department.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to motivate students through inspirational teaching. The ability to teach A-Level is desirable but not essential. Impact and ambition are valued as highly as experience. We pride ourselves on our support, training and cross-trust opportunities. Indeed, two of our Headteachers started as newly qualified teachers within the trust.
We are a GOOD school. Our Ofsted in May 2023 highlighted our many Good and Outstanding features.
We promise to offer you both a stimulating and highly rewarding experience in return for your motivational skills and good practice. Opportunities don’t arise very often to work in a vibrant school like Park Hall, and we are delighted to be offering the chance for someone to join the team.
In return, we can offer you:
- A positive and innovative learning culture supported by a dynamic Humanities department staffed by specialist teachers
- A collaborative and supportive attitude amongst staff, which creates a sense of teamwork and unity
- A Senior Leadership Team that is committed to promoting the best environment and outcomes for staff and students
- Teachers’ pension and a Cycle to Work scheme

At Park Hall Academy our aim is to help students to reach the very highest standards of excellence and to meet each individual's academic, personal and social needs. We expect students to wear the school uniform, we insist on good discipline and we are proud of the excellent partnerships which exist between students, staff and parents. We continue to make strong efforts to improve communications with parents, to listen to comments and to deal with complaints.
As a large secondary academy, we believe that we have a central place in the local community. We have very strong links with primary schools, and we work with business and industry to enhance the relevance of the school curriculum. We are keen to work in partnership with companies to enhance the part we play in the education and life of the whole community, and we have ambitious plans to develop this role. The network of sports clubs and voluntary organisations with whom we are involved grows each year. These are essential parts of our crusade for continuous improvement.
