Hallfield School is looking to appoint an experienced and inspirational educator as our new Head of SEND.
The full title for this role is Head of Learning Success (SENDCO and Higher Learning Potential Co-Ordinator).
With relevant experience, and a strong track record in supporting diverse learners, this position is perfect for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about ensuring every pupil achieves their full potential.
Overseeing the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and the HLP (Higher Learning Potential) provision across the school, key responsibilities of the Head of SEND include:
- Assessing pupils to identify needs and creating tailored plans to support their academic journey.
- Coordinating and leading parental meetings, fostering strong relationships with families.
- Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum at an academically selective school.
- Leading on new initiatives to enhance the school’s provision for SEND and HLP pupils.
- Planning and delivering staff training to build capacity and expertise across the school.
- Collaborating with parents and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with specific safeguarding responsibilities as a key member of the school’s welfare team.

Hallfield School is a flourishing co-educational Prep School, renowned for the quality of its extended curriculum and excellent academic reputation.
