St. George’s School seeks an experienced professional to lead our Lower Secondary School (year 7 - 9) to start in January 2025.

The School

The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school; we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

The Location

Located on a new, purpose-built campus on the outskirts of Cologne, St. George’s School enjoys direct transport links to the city centre, as well as to the greater area of Cologne-Bonn.

The Role

We seek to appoint an experienced Head of Section. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking professional, who is able to build on the excellent work of their predecessor.

Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.

All applicants should hold a valid teaching qualification. We consider a degree in education (e.g. B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt), or postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g. PGCE) as valid. English language teaching certificates (e.g. TEFL/IELTS/CELTA) are not sufficient.
