Job overview
We are looking to appoint an ambitious and exceptional Maths practitioner who can deliver an outstanding and innovative curriculum. You will bring leadership experience together with the skills to coach, support and direct staff and steer the strategic direction of Maths within the School. You will help build on our success within this important subject and guide our positive, forward-thinking team to further achievements.
You will model good practice, lead the teaching of Maths at all levels. Accountable for pupil progress and development, the post-holder will inspire and build a supportive culture that values effort and achievement, ensuring that both pupils and staff, to be the best they can be.
Key requirements of this role include:
- the ability to teach up to Common Entrance and Scholarship level;
- pro -active oversight of Maths throughout the school;
- possessing a clear understanding of the current curriculum, assessment and pedagogical developments relating to Maths at all Key Stages;
- be a Form Tutor
GWS has an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities and a willingness to contribute to this aspect of school would be essential.
