The Brittons Academy wish to appoint an experienced, dynamic and inspirational MFL specialist who is ambitious, is passionate about the value of learning languages and is able to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. The successful candidate will have the drive, determination and motivation to inspire both staff and students as well as possess the ability to deliver an outstanding educational experience that will make a significant difference to the lives of our students.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience of teaching French and Spanish GCSE level but applications from candidates teaching other languages will be welcomed as we continually strive to enhance our curriculum offer. The Head of MFL will be responsible for all aspects of KS3-4 across year groups 7-11. They will lead the department to enhance provision whilst ensuring all learners meet or exceed targets and achieve to the best of their ability. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to engage with a wide range of students. In return, we offer:

About The Brittons Academy
The Brittons Academy is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, non-selective secondary academy for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Rainham in Essex and there are 690 pupils on its roll.
The school is made up of four houses named after well-known authorities in their subject: Bobby Moore (sports and science), Vivienne Westwood (mathematics and technology), William Shakespeare (communication) and Nelson Mandela (social science).
