Job overview

The Liberty Academy Trust is on an exciting journey, and we're looking for an exceptional Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships (Head of PFP) to join us. This role offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, locally and nationally, on the lives of autistic children and young people.

The Head of PFP will lead and deliver our fundraising strategy, playing a key role in the Trust’s overarching growth strategy. This role combines high-level strategic insight with hands-on initiatives to drive our growth. The initial focus will be on driving income to enhance the educational experiences of our autistic students and support the growth of the Research School, the core commercial arm of the Trust.

As a candidate for this role, you will have significant experience as a fundraiser with a track record of securing six-figure grants or gifts. You will be adept at using impact and outcome measurements to develop and evolve fundraising activities. You will hold to high ethical standards, including The Principles of Public Life (Nolan Principles), and the Framework for Ethical Leadership in Education.

The role is initially offered on a two-year fixed-term contract, with the option to extend or make permanent. We are open to considering applicants who can offer a full-time or part-time commitment. The role is home-based with travel, and being located close to one of our schools would be seen as an advantage.

Our vision is to create a world that works for autistic children and young people, by providing an exceptional educational offer so that they achieve success now and are well-prepared for adulthood. Our success depends on our skilled and dedicated staff. We offer a competitive salary and access to the local government pension scheme, where applicable, as well as a range of benefits and a focus on staff well-being. More importantly, we offer the opportunity to play a part in highly rewarding work, as part of an ambitious and supportive team.

We are an equal opportunities employer. Applications for this job are sought from anyone who is suitably qualified and experienced for the role - including those with protected characteristics, and particularly welcome from neurodivergent individuals. We are very happy to discuss adjustments to the recruitment process for those that need it.

Please note that we can only consider applicants who are legally entitled to work in the UK.

Application deadline: Midnight on Monday 20 January 2025

Interviews: w/c Monday 3 February 2025
