Are you an inspirational, creative and talented teacher of Science, capable of motivating and getting the best out of students and staff? We are looking to recruit a Head of Science to create an outstanding Science Department at Shrewsbury International School, India.

Opening in August 2025, Shrewsbury International School India will be a boarding school for children from age 11 to 18. It will deliver a British Curriculum based upon the Cambridge International programme from Lower Secondary through IGCSEs to A Level, as part of the whole person education for which Shrewsbury is famed.

Located in Madhya Pradesh, at the very heart of India, the school’s 150-acre campus will have exceptional state of the art facilities for the teaching of the Sciences alongside unparalleled provisions for co and extracurricular activities including, the performing arts and an impressive range of sports.

The school is sponsored by Jagran Social Welfare Society (JSWS), a well-established and successful education provider based in Madhya Pradesh, India. JSWS already has 13 successful institutions within its portfolio, many of which it has built from the ground up. This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of bringing an extraordinary campus to life.

The school’s Head of Science will be provided with accommodation and, in addition to an attractive salary, will have full tuition fee remission at the school for up to two of their children, and a generous discount for any additional children, medical insurance, and an annual travel allowance. Where their children are under the admissions age for Shrewsbury, full tuition fee remission will be offered at one of the local sister schools within the JSWS group.
