After 6 years in the position our current Head of Science is moving on, creating an exciting new oportunity for the right candidate.

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Head of Science to lead our dedicated team in delivering high-quality education in Science. The successful candidate will possess the ability to teach IGCSE Coordinated Science at as well as Physics and/or Biology at A-Level.

Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Leadership: Oversee the Science curriculum, ensuring alignment with IGCSE and A-Level standards.
  2. Teaching & Learning: Inspire and support staff in delivering engaging lessons that foster student achievement.
  3. Assessment & Evaluation: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and enhance student progress.
  4. Exams Officer Role: For interested candidates, there is an opportunity to serve as Exams Officer. Training will be provided for suitable applicants.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years teaching experience and a teaching degree or PGCE
  • Qualified teacher status with a strong background in Science.
  • Proven experience in teaching IGCSE and A-Level Science.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
