Malvern College Tokyo (MCT) opened its doors to pupils in August 2023 and has quickly grown to be one of the leading schools in the territory. With strong links to Malvern College, a leading independent school in Worcestershire, England, the School seeks to appoint an inspirational Head of Seniors from August 2025.
The Head of Seniors is a key member of the school’s Senior Management Team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Senior School. Central to this role is the leadership, management, and support of the teaching staff, who collectively ensure the academic progress, learning, and wellbeing of pupils in line with the school’s policies.
The Head of Seniors will work closely with the Head of Primary and will have oversight of the MYP Coordinator to ensure the effective implementation and delivery of the curriculum. A key aspect of the role is the monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring that high standards are maintained across the Senior School.
Additionally, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and preparation for the launch of the Sixth Form and the IB Diploma Programme, which will admit its first cohort in August 2026. The role also encompasses the coordination of the school’s pastoral care, with oversight of the work of the Senior School Pastoral Coordinator.
The successful candidate must possess a clear strategic vision, a deep appreciation for the school’s heritage, a thorough understanding of the International Baccalaureate programmes (particularly the IB Diploma Programme), and excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. A high level of professionalism is essential, as this role will be central to the ongoing development and growth of the school.

Malvern College Tokyo opened in September 2023 as the newest member of the Malvern College Family of Schools. Malvern College Tokyo has already grown from an initial 150 pupils to almost 300 at the start of its second academic year. Currently accommodating pupils from Pre-Prep to Remover (Year 10), extending upwards to Year 13 by 2026, ultimately providing around 900 places for both Prep and Seniors.
