Millfield School is looking to recruit a Head of Tennis to take responsibility for the development of the Girls' and Boys' Tennis Programme across Millfield School and to support Millfield Prep School.

Millfield is an independent boarding school with outstanding pastoral and co-curricular activities, set in the heart of Somerset. We cater for approximately 1300 pupils aged 13 to 18, all of whom are engaged in sport and physical activities. Millfield Prep School is located 4 miles away in the bustling town of Glastonbury, catering to a further 350 pupils from ages 7 - 13. Both schools have outstanding facilities and a vibrant multisport environment.

As the Head of Tennis, you will be responsible for ensuring that Millfield Tennis is competitive in the highest levels of school tennis and connected to the LTA development pathway. This will include providing technical coaching to students, ensuring that the skills of the specialist and teacher coaches are continuously developed, contributing to the Sports Scholarship Programme and developing new links with the community and external sporting bodies. As the Head of Tennis, you will also be expected to expand on the school’s entrepreneurial activity, targeted and innovative recruitment approaches, and the promotion of Millfield School through tennis.

The successful candidate will hold LTA SPC Level 4 or Club Coach level 5 and must understand and have experience of education, holistic and dual pathway development (education and sport) and be connected to the world of tennis.

This is a full-time role which includes work during the school holidays, working an average of 42 hours per week across Monday to Saturday. In return, you will receive a competitive salary, 10 weeks holiday per annum to be taken outside of term-time, plus an extensive range of staff benefits.
