The Junior King’s School is a thriving, highly successful school for 380 children aged 3-13, set in stunning surroundings just outside Canterbury. It forms part of the King’s School Canterbury; the oldest and one of the most distinctive schools in the UK. 

We are now seeking an outstanding leader to build on past successes and deliver an innovative educational vision for the future of The Junior King’s School. Reporting directly to the Head of King’s, the appointed candidate will provide highly effective leadership to Junior King’s whilst contributing to the strategic development of the whole school as a key member of the leadership team. Under the ambitious new leadership of Jude Lowson, King’s is entering an exciting new phase in its development, seeking to lead great education on the global stage.

Collaborative, creative and dynamic, the new Head will inspire pupils and staff to the highest standards of educational and pastoral excellence. He or she will combine an evidenced track record of successful senior leadership experience in a boarding environment with effective management skills and the capacity to work collegially as part of a wider organisation. A genuine commitment to the distinctive ethos and guiding principles of Junior King’s will be essential.
