Frensham Heights is a co-educational 3 to 18 day and boarding school of approximately 500 students. The School’s Founders, educationalists Beatrice Ensor and Isabel King, were passionate about offering a progressive style of education which put the child at its heart. Almost 100 years on, Frensham continues to be a school and a community based on mutual respect, tolerance, creativity and generosity of spirit that educates the whole child – mind, body and spirit. The Board of Governors wishes to appoint a new Head who will relish the opportunity to lead a school where this is the case.

The Board and wider school community will determine, with the new Head, how Frensham builds on this educational heritage, which is more relevant now than ever before. At the core of this will be a fervent desire to provide an outstanding, progressive and child-centred education in a community that is inclusive and respectful.

Governors welcome applications from educationalists with significant senior leadership experience who feel passionate about Frensham’s ethos and approach and share the progressive educational philosophy. Candidates will be relationship driven, have evident leadership capability and experience, and be genuinely excited about the chance to feed into the future strategic direction of the school.
