Job overview

Following the retirement of our much loved and respected head teacher we are looking to appoint an experienced, compassionate and enthusiastic leader to guide is through the next stage of our journey.

Try your best to be your best

Kiwi school is at the heart of a military community and our values reflect this. Most of our children will only be with us for a part of their primary schooling. Our values have developed to support the needs of our community and they inform everything we do at Kiwi school.

We are a two-form entry primary school based on the Bulford camp in the beautiful county of Wiltshire. We have an onsite Nursery and a new special needs resource base which enables us to support our diverse catchment and meet the needs of our learners.

The aim at Kiwi school is to provide opportunities for children to develop as independent, creative, resilient, and principled learners. These values emphasise the concepts of belonging, enthusiasm, responsibility, and perseverance to prepare children for the next stage of their lives. We are committed to creating a safe, happy and welcoming environment where we celebrate diversity and know that we are all equally valued and respected as individuals.

Kiwi school is keen to develop links and will be working closely with our local hub of schools across Tidworth. We are a local authority-maintained school and as such our new head teacher will receive extensive support and guidance from the school effectiveness team. They will be supported through our new head teacher induction programme and will have an allocated school improvement advisor and will enjoy support through working with other leaders within the Tidworth hub of schools.

This is an exciting time for our school, and we hope we have encouraged you to apply and look forward to receiving your application. If you have any further questions or would like to arrange a visit, please contact Angela Bayliss (co-chair) angela.bayliss@kiwi.wilts.sch.uk
