The Trust is now seeking an exceptional new Head Teacher for Newark Academy, a mixed secondary school of just over 1000 pupils located in the village of Balderton where ‘ambition thrives’. With an ethos of, ‘Work Hard, Be Kind, Newark Academy is committed to providing an outstanding local education and are relentless in their pursuit of excellence for all. Student well-being is central to this and the pastoral provision ensures that the drive for academic success takes place in a supportive and engaging environment.
The successful candidate will bring significant teaching expertise and experience from a secondary school setting and a proven track record of positive impact in a variety of leadership roles. They will have experience of raising standards in teaching and learning, strategic planning, financial management and staff recruitment and development and understand the criticality of building school culture where all members of the school community can thrive. They will have exceptional communications skills, allowing them to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents and governors, as well as with key external stakeholders including DfE and Ofsted.
