Job overview
The CEO of the Mill Hill Education Group invites applications for the role of Head of Belmont following Leon Roberts’ promotion to the role of Director of Prep Schools.
The Mill Hill Education Group is a rapidly growing family of leading independent schools educating children aged 3 to 18. As of January 2024, there are nine schools in the Group, thereby becoming a leader in this trend in the charitable schools sector. The schools are united by a shared educational ethos and operate as one charity with one set of Governors. All schools seek to instil a lifelong love of learning, equipping pupils with a readiness to embrace change that sees them set up to succeed in the present and in the future. This has been implicit in the motto of Mill Hill School since its foundation in 1807: ‘Instilling Values, Inspiring Minds’.
Set in 35 acres of beautiful grounds only ten miles from central London, Belmont is an independent day school educating 550 girls and boys from Year 3 to Year 8. The school provides a genuinely warm and caring environment where children’s happiness and wellbeing are integral to a fulfilling education, which is delivered through a rigorous, rich and diverse curriculum designed to equip pupils for life in an ever-changing world. Belmontians benefit from a seamless educational journey into Mill Hill School at Year 9.
This is a truly exciting time to join the Mill Hill Education Group and lead this thriving prep school through the next phase of its development. The Head of Belmont is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day leadership and management of the school whilst working closely with the CEO and Director of Prep Schools, who will support and advise. The Head also benefits from a network of fellow Heads and this mutual support is reflective of the overall culture that epitomises the Mill Hill Education Group.
