The School

Davenport Lodge Nursery School, part of Inspired Education, is a leading independent day Nursery School for children up to 5 years of age. Delivering Early Years Education since 1968, Davenport Lodge provides a happy, secure, and stimulating environment to all children in our care.

Based in Coventry, our dedicated and experienced team is committed to providing a supportive and structured environment in which children are encouraged to value their individuality, efforts and achievements and to be happy and secure individuals in an environment that focuses on personal, social and emotional development.

Davenport Lodge has a nursery for babies from 6 weeks old and toddlers to the age of two and a Kindergarten section for 3 and 4 year old children that prepare for primary and the next steps in their learning. Since its original registration with Ofsted in January 2005, Davenport Lodge maintains high quality standards of care and good quality of teaching and learning.

With a 2018 Ofsted inspection rating of ‘Good’, Davenport Lodge Nursery School aims to offer a curriculum which encompasses breadth, balance, progression and relevance, taking due account of gender, ethnicity, personal and social development as well as equal opportunities for all children. Our curriculum allows every child to move successfully through the Early Years Foundation Stage, to gain confidence as well as knowledge and progress toward the next stage of their learning. Our planning ensures a balance of child initiated and adult led activities that encourages the children to learn as they play and explore. We offer a range of activities including music, dance, karate, cooking lessons and PE. These activities channel children’s energies and maintain healthy minds in healthy bodies.
