Headteacher - East Bierley Primary School

Start date: September 2024

Due to the retirement of the Headteacher the governors are seeking to appoint an empathetic, visionary and dedicated Headteacher who is supportive of the Christian ethos of our school. With a committed staff and senior leadership team the newly appointed Headteacher will prioritise the areas identified to move our school forward with the curriculum and in all aspects of learning. (Leaders have high aspirations for pupils to achieve well, OFSTED 2023)

Located in the village of East Bierley the school is an inclusive and learning community motivated through the school vision of “Always giving, Always here”. With a supportive Governing Body the school is passionate in providing a good, secure education for the pupils and families they serve.

We wish to appoint a leader who: -

• Has high expectations to develop the academic and pastoral life of the school
• Has the proven leadership qualities required for the school to make accelerated progress
• Can operate collegially with senior leaders and staff to build on the successes achieved
• Values working with other professionals locally
• Can evidence sustained improvement and senior leadership experience in a primary school
• Will lead curriculum development, be creative, inspire and motivate staff and children alike
