Job overview

Morgan’s Vale and Woodfalls CE Primary School is a single academy trust which also includes the Mini Morgans Preschool provision. We are a small school in the centre of the village communities of Morgan’s Vale, Woodfalls, Lover and Redlynch and positioned between Salisbury and the New Forest. We pride ourselves on creating a happy environment for children and staff to play, learn and work in. The position of Headteacher is vacant for the first time in over twenty years, due to the retirement of the current postholder.

Forward-thinking and creative applicants who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in our community whilst maintaining the Christian ethos of the school are sought. This is a full-time on-site role as a Primary School Headteacher. As such, the day-to-day tasks will include providing strategic leadership, managing staff and resources, implementing policies, and ensuring high-quality education for children. Further important responsibilities include creating a positive learning environment, fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity, and promoting the well-being and personal development of both children and staff with the full support of the governing body.

There are exciting developments happening within the school as it is currently in the final stages of joining the Magna Learning Partnership, with the conversion due to take place before Christmas.

Magna Learning Partnership is a group of academies in the Salisbury area, with provision from nursery age to post 16. Our institutions have their own distinctive ethos and values, but we share a goal to ensure that every young person has access to an excellent educational experience. Our partnership aims to improve and further develop the quality of education provision across Salisbury and the surrounding villages for the benefit of all young people in the area.
