The West London Free School is an all-ability secondary school that asks every child to do at least eight academic GCSEs or IGCSEs. That expects every pupil to transfer to the Sixth Form and go on to a good university. That takes children from across the local community and gives them a classical liberal education, providing them with the knowledge and confidence to take on the world.

Having opened in 2011, the WLFS has established itself as one of the most popular schools in the country, with 10 applicants for every place, and is the cornerstone of a growing multi-academy trust. Sport, music and art are integral to school life, with two thirds of pupils learning a musical instrument. Our vision is of a comprehensive grammar school - that is, a school that combines the rigour and standards of an old fashioned grammar with a genuinely comprehensive intake. We are now looking for a Headteacher to take the school to the next level.

When it was inspected by Ofsted last year, the school was ranked "good" with "outstanding" features and next time we want to do better. We also want our Year 9s to get excellent GCSE/IGCSE results in 2016 and we're equally ambitious for our Sixth Form. When it comes to offers from Russell Group universities, our aspiration is to match the surrounding independent schools.
