About Lucton School 

Lucton School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for students from 6 months to 18 years old. Our priorities are simple: we want our young people to be happy and to achieve – and in that order. About the Position and You 

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent 

Salary: Dependent on experience 

Start Date: We are recruiting following the recent death of our Headmaster, Mr Bicker-Caarten. This means the start date is for discussion with the successful candidate. The school is currently being led forward under an interim Co-Headship.

Interview dates:  

Initial interviews for successful candidates will be held from:  

• 13th to the 19th of December via Teams  

Those selected for second interviews will have the opportunity on the  

• 10th, 11th and 12th January 2024 at Lucton School 

Key Responsibilities: 

You will be responsible for: 

• Providing strategic leadership to the school, ensuring the implementation and growth and development of our curriculum  
• Developing strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider educational community, promoting open communication and partnership in education. 
• Leading and inspiring a team of dedicated educators, promoting professional growth, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices.

• Successfully led a school, either through Headship or significant time as a senior leader; 
• Sufficient commitment and energy to understand all facets of the school (and where necessary, the commitment to ‘roll up your sleeves and DO’);
