Meadow Park School is a pupil referral unit situated in the borough of Knowsley on Merseyside. We provide a quality educational experience for students who have or are experiencing difficulties in a mainstream setting due to medical, social, emotional, or behavioural needs. We support young people to develop strategies to improve their resilience and confidence through a personalised curriculum, delivered by dedicated, experienced and qualified staff. 

We serve children, families and schools across Knowsley and the wider Merseyside borough. The school offers provision for both Primary and Secondary age pupils across all Key Stages and was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2017.

Pupils, staff and Governors seek to recruit a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and inspirational Headteacher to lead Meadow Park School from April 2023 or sooner.

We need our Headteacher to:

  • have a clear vision for the future of this successful school
  • understand and empathise with the complex learning and emotional difficulties of our young people and ensure that each one of them continues to achieve their full potential
  • be an enthusiastic, empathetic and inspiring leader with excellent communication skills
  • have a passion for individualised learning aimed at developing the knowledge life skills and experiences of our children and young people
  • provide effective leadership of the school and foster and develop the professional development of all staff
  • have the ability to engage parents, carers and stakeholders in our young peoples’ education
